His facial expression makes it seem like he is about to fall asleep in mid-sentence. On occasion, Kyle's face will have this sort of irritated expression because he has been forced into the position of making a decision. His hair is put up into a pony tail. When it comes to clothing, Kyle chooses to wear brown cargo pants, t-shirts (always blue with the Japanese symbol for wolf on it), a short sleeve jacket with the Japanese symbol for fire on the back of it and running shoes. On the surface, Kyle is a pretty smart guy, but on paper is a different story. He doesn't like to apply himself when it comes to school as he doesn’t want people asking him for help nor does he want to set himself apart from everyone else because of his intelligence. Since he already has trouble making friends, Kyle prefers to play dumb when around everyone else so that he can have some social life among his peers, but he will act normal around those that he is really close to. Kyle is very blunt with everyone that he meets as he doesn't know that filtering what he says might get him some friends, and it doesn't help that he seems to notice all the little things about a person that aren't really important like one ear being lower than another or their eyes being too close together. The combination of these two things has gained him the title of being really annoying, which is sort of ironic as Kyle finds everyone else to be annoying. He truly dislikes quite a bit of things like modern music, loud people, and being asked to do something that he doesn't want to do, and if one of these things is too excessive in its nature then Kyle will snap at them in such a way that they leave him alone. The only time that he seems remotely normal is when he is around his twin, who is the only person he will really stick up for. Now there are some things that Kyle likes, and those things would include video games, sleeping, eating, reading and getting things. He is a guy of simple pleasures, which makes it very easy to bribe him to do thing like turning on his friends. HISTORY Kyle was born on December 31st, which later on becomes one of his main irritations, to two loving parents, Jacob and Lydia, along with his twin brother, Ryan. He was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma, but his parents moved a year after their sons' births to California in order to be closer to Kyle's grandparents. His mother was really strict with the boys about not being a burden on anyone, which only worked for Kyle as he just wanted to either play video games or read. This style of living where he just stayed out of people's way worked up until the point where his classes actually required him to use his brain. Kyle began to lag behind the rest of his classmates as he was forcing himself to make mistakes while being a nuisance to gain friends, which got him sent home from school every now and again to his mother's dismay. His mother could not understand how one son could be so unenthusiastic about life, while his twin brother was full of energy and making good grades. This pattern continued all the way from grade school to middle school as Kyle's behavior did not change that much. Kyle’s only interest at the time that showed that he was a complete and total nitwit was the fact that he had joined an after school book club that had a weekly discussion about a particular novel that the entire group was supposed to read. His parents weren't aware of the fact that he was only playing the fool to fit in, but one day his father overheard Kyle muttering to himself about how he was annoyed that everyone couldn't have an IQ closer to his. Upon hearing this, his father immediately confronted him about it, but Kyle was adamant about not knowing what his father was talking about. Kyle's father decided not to tell his mother about this new incident as he thought that it was a phase that his son was going through, but his son's habit didn't change. When he reached high school though, things got worse as his father informed Kyle's mother what was going on, and she said that she would take care of it. Now his mother still saw him as a child, and she knew how to manipulate a child. She made a deal with her son that if his grades improved then she would buy him a new video game, and seeing an opportunity Kyle agreed to the deal. His performance improved greatly, and then his mother coughed up the game he wanted. This exchange kept going on at the end of each semester, but this became costly on his parents so they changed their strategy. Instead of giving him a new game, they gave him one of his old ones, and upon seeing his shock they explained that they would give back his video games and game systems for each one of the A's that he got on his final report card. Knowing that he had been duped, Kyle reluctantly agreed to it, and by the time that he got to his sophomore Kyle had most of his favorite stuff back. After he had gotten his stuff back, Kyle figured that his life would return to normal, but this was not the case. In fact, his whole world got turned upside down when he happened upon a group of guys pushing his brother around. It seemed that Ryan had turned them in for smoking on school grounds, and now they were getting some payback. Knowing that his brother was in trouble, Kyle forced himself into the middle of the group and tried to help his brother out, but it was when a guy hit him that things changed suddenly. POWERS AND ABILITIES The bones of Kyle’s body are much denser than a normal person, which makes him slightly stronger than those around him. He is capable of manipulating his bones to do a number of things that he isn’t currently aware of. For starters, Kyle can force them out out of his body as sharp projectiles that are capable of piercing through most materials. Then he can just have them grow out of his appendages to make his punches or kicks more powerful, or he can pull them out and use them as weaponry like a staff or bending it to make a boomerang. His body has the ability to heal itself quickly at the areas that the bones come out of, but this does not mean that he is can be riddled with bullets or blown up and still walk away. The healing ability also numbs the area rather quickly to keep him from being completely overwhelm by pain, but it will hurt if he tries to fight the spikes from coming out. Kyle also has to take in a lot of milk and calcium supplements in order to balance out what he uses to make his bone weaponry and projectiles. ROLE-PLAYING SAMPLE He didn’t quite understand why his parents were making him go to school if they already knew that he really didn’t need to anymore. He had proven it by how quickly he had brought his grades up last year, but they still told him to get to school or all of his stuff was going to charity. Now he was running to get to class on time, and it was only by random luck that they lived so close to the school. Well, he would sit in class, but that didn’t mean he had to stay awake. “Yeah. I’ll just take a long nap all day.” Alas, something had come along to mess up his plans as he had just noticed that there were a large group of people gathered in his path, and as he got closer he could have sworn that he heard Ryan’s voice. Once he was right next to them, Kyle could clearly make his brother out in the middle of the group, and it was obvious that he was in trouble as his nose was bleeding. Immediately, he shoved his way through the crowd until he was standing next to his brother, and then he tried to give them some breathing room. “Get back. Leave my brother al-“ His words were cut off when someone’s fist hit him in the face, and then something truly bizarre happened. Several bone spikes protruded from his body, and he looked like a porcupine or something. "What the heck is happening to me?!?!" Obviously, everyone around him was just as shocked by what happened as he was, but Kyle saw an opportunity to solve the problem of how to get out of this without getting. Standing up, he quickly regained his composure so he could stare down the largest guy in the group and then smile at him, and then he kneed the guy in the gut. Turning to look at the rest of the crowd, he could tell that they were weary of the sharp bones coming out of his body. ”So who still wants to fight? No one? Then get lost or else.” To add to his threat, Kyle swung his arm at someone only to have one of the spikes shoot out of it and barely miss the person’s head. This scared everyone enough that they all took off running in every direction, and with the danger gone he turned to his twin to make sure that he was alright. It was at this point that he noticed that his brother looked completely terrified of him, and Kyle couldn’t blame his brother. After all, he did look like a walking pin cushion, so he closed his eyes and focused on making the spikes go away. He put so much effort into it that he passed out the moment that they were pulled back into his body. The next thing that he knew was that he was laying on his bed while his parents talked to someone in the hallway, and he was still out of it but he heard the words ‘mutant’, ‘school’ and ‘safer for everyone’. This was all he needed to know that he wasn’t going to be going back to his normal routine, and sure enough his stuff was packed and he was on his way to a new school application was passed by username | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=valign,top] [atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 40px;] B O N E S |
