When creating your character, please adhere to the following rules:
1. This site DOES allow for multiple characters:
A. Per person, you may have up to three (3) separate characters. This is so that we have activity, but it won't be a one-person site.
B. To earn another character, you must first achieve twenty (20) IN CHARACTER posts with your most recent character. Don't think we won't check that.
C. Each character will have it's own separate account. Please make these accounts the name of the character and not their codename (characters have changed codenames, so this clears up who is who).
D. Having multiple characters in one thread is acceptable, if however there are no other people in that thread it will still count as a solo thread.
2. Much like Kid Gladiator, not all of the students at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning are human mutants. Kree, Shi'ar, and even Skrull (Although will be monitored heavier than someone on house arrest) may attend to improve themselves. Keep in mind that this is not Hala, so it will be at the Admin discretion as to how many will be allowed in.
3. When making a character, please follow the Character Template found
HERE.
4. The Mutant Gene manifests everyone's powers in a unique way. HOWEVER, we can safely say that powers will not manifest in any way found
HERE. The limit of powers for an original character is 3. Be aware that the staff has the right to not allow you to have a certain power if we believe that it violates the rules in any way.
5. Plagiarism is a real thing and on a site with OCs, should not be an issue. But if you do decide to plagiarize anything from another comic character, regardless of company, we will go Liam Neeson on that account.
6. Please do not just make an account and walk away. When you make an account, within a week please at least begin the process of character creation. In the same vein, any absences longer than two weeks needs to have notice given; the exception could be length related emergencies such as illness, injury, or worse that needs your attention.
7. When you make your character, please not the following:
A. Don't expect an application review right away. Give it a day or two and then ask ONCE and do it POLITELY.
B. When you make your character, the role-playing sample MUST be your character's first manifestation of their mutant genes.
C. Character face claims must come from comics, anime, cartoons, or real life persons. Obviously Marvel comics are out since they technically exist in this universe.
D. Your character is new to their powers. They do not have full control over them, they are not all-powerful in any way shape or form. If they were they wouldn't need to be at the Jean Grey School.
8. This rule is perhaps the most important. Please do not make a character you don't think you'll enjoy playing.
