DESCRIPTION AND PERSONALITY: Because his moods seem to change constantly Liyang's personality is hard to pin down. One moment he can come across as fairly menacing, but the next minute he flinches back and starts talking to himself about how he really isn't cut out for the job. He can be civil and pleading one moment and then appear cynical and sarcastic the next. He can be clever and have a thing for noticing little details, but can also be completely oblivious to the obvious and make poor life choices. With the rapid changes all he really accomplishes is a very good impression of a complete spazz. He usually puts up a fairly light-hearted and thoughtful front, unless the situation calls for seriousness. Still he usually thinks about others before he thinks about himself. It all boils down to him looking like a pushover, kind of air-headed, and not all that threatening. He doesn't enjoy fighting and will probably try to get out of it in any way he can. Liyang loves to tease, mock, and mess with people on a daily basis. He has a tendency to dub his favorite "victims" (his friends) different names. But his intentions are never to hurt anyone. He dislikes negative people, senseless violence, and solitude. Liyang doesn't really look all that out of the ordinary. He's a bit on the tall side (6'0") compared to other teens his age. He's got a pretty normal frame and normal weight too. He's constantly in motion, his emotions made really obvious by his dramatic gestures. He slumps his shoulders when he's feeling down, he sits up straight and dances when he's happy, when he's surprised he jumps back in full shock, waving his arms around dramatically. His right is gold while his left is silver. His hair is black and about shoulder length. His outfit usually consist of of a jacket (if it's the weather is cold), T-shirt, pants, and a pair sneakers. He wears a snug white v-neck T-shirt. His pants usually loose fitted; comfortable looking. HISTORY Liyang Yoon pretty much had a simple life before entering the institute. Actually, he would say that he had a great life. He was born into a wealthy lifestyle in Seoul. His father was an CEO of one of the biggest music companies in South Korea and the money he made allowed his family to live a carefree life. Liyang had everything a child could ever want or need; caring parents and money. His mother, Hyomin, was very loving and tended to baby the boy at times. His father, Jiyoung, was one for tough love. He wanted to push his son to strive to be the best. Liyang knew this, but at times he did wish his father would ease up a little. He was home schooled and had his very own martial arts trainer. The martial arts training was something his father thought would help built character. The way Liyang saw it was that he was going to follow in the footsteps of his father so why did he need to learn martial arts? It puzzled him, but he continued with his classes because it pleased his father. Unfortunately, living a wealthy lifestyle had its downfalls. Liyang's only friend was his trainer, his parents, and a few musical artist that work for his father. This sheltered lifestyle was driving him crazy. So at the age of six he pleaded with his parents to send him to public school. His parents finally gave in to the boy's cries. He was truly happy. He would be going to a real school and would have the chance to make real friends or so he thought. First day of school, all the other children already disliked him because of his money. He was rich and they were jealous. It only got worst as the days went by. He quickly jumped to the top of his class in athletics and academics. The cold, stern looks he would get by other students and even some of the teachers caused the boy to want to quit. He could not though. Knowing his father would tell the boy to strive through it, become stronger. Years passed and Liyang had only made handful of friends, but he was happy. One day Liyang decided to walk home after meeting some friends. As he was walking through the park a group of punks confronted him. One of the guys pulled out a pocket knife and threatened to cut Liyang if he didn't give him all his money. At the moment Liyang didn't have any money on him. Furious, the guy told Liyang that there was a price to be paid as he took the knife and slashed him across his right arm. The punks wanted to give Liyang nothing more than a good scared, nothing serious. Liyang could feel the blood running down his arm. He was terrified. He had never been in a situation like this. Fearing the worse, Liyang planned on pushing the guy and making a run for it. As the boy extended his hands out to push the guy away a blast of energy left his palms, sending the guy flying backwards. Fear was written on the guys' faces as they stared at Liyang. Liyang had no clue what just happened, but he took the opportunity to run. After making it home Liyang ran straight for his mother. "What happened to your arm!?" Liyang had forgotten all about the wound and he still wasn't focus on it. He told his mother what had happened. She didn't know what to do nor did his father when he found out. They had heard of the institute, but they didn't want to send their son away. Liyang decided it would be best for him to return to home schooling. At first everything was going well, but after a year he realize his abilities were getting stronger and much more difficult to control. Seeing this, they all agreed it would be best to send Liyang to the Institute. ROLE-PLAYING SAMPLE He stumbled into the park. Suddenly, he bumped into a young man who looked a bit older than him. "... Sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going." The man pushed Liyang slightly and pulled out a pocket knife, "Gimme all your money and you won't get hurt kid," He said. Liyang stepped back and pulled out his wallet, revealing that it was empty. "Sorry, I don't have any money..." The man looked back at his friends for a moment and laughed. He pushed Liyang once again and placed the knife against his throat. "That's too bad kid. If we don't get paid we're not happy," He said, "Now i'm gonna have to make an example out ya." "I can get you some money. I just need to--" The man swiftly took the blade across Liyang's forearm, creating an open wound. The would was not serious. Nothing that would not heal in a day or so. The punks had no plan on taking this any farther than where it was. Liyang could feel the blood running down his arm as he started to tremble with fear. As the man reached for him, Liyang threw his hands forward in attempt to push the man away. What happen next frightened Liyang even more... The boy's palm's had released a blast of energy that sent the man flying back into his friends. Liyang stared at his hands in disbelief as the men hurried to their feet and ran away. "...I... What..." Run! Liyang could do nothing, but run. Fortunately, the punks didn't get a good look at his face, but Liyang was still scared. What would his parents do? The streets seemed crowded. Liyang Yoon strode through them, but he did not have his same confident gait. No, he walk was much different now, it was that of someone who was lost. His hood was shrouding his face in darkness. He slowly crossed the streets, trying to figure out what exactly he was going to do with his life now. A car stopped abruptly before him and honked loudly, he spared it only enough attention to offer a rude hand gesture before his mind was once again on watching where he was going. Suddenly, tears began to form as he thought about what his parents were going to think about their son being a mutant. Finally arriving at his doorsteps, Liyang could do nothing more than just stare at the door... application was passed by username | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=valign,top][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 40px;] C O D E N A M E |
