Blue eyes gazed out the window below. It was the afternoon. Many people preferred to spend their afternoon in leisure. Dr. McCoy preferred to spend his afternoon being there for any student who needed him. It was his passion. He walked away from the window to his stereo and turned it on. He hit play and then walked over to his desk, Yo-Yo Ma playing in the background. It was kept at a low volume as to not disturb any students who decided to venture into his office. His playlist mainly consisted of classical music, opera and a few singer songwriter tunes.
His office was classic. The walls had wood paneling. His desk was a smooth mahogany. Books stood in uniform position on his book case which spanned almost an entire wall. There were a couple of chairs in front of the desk. A few things decorated the desk such as a Newton's Cradle, a coffee cup and a decorative pen set. His laptop lay closed on the desk as well. He had a leather chair behind the desk and next to the window was a filing cabinet. Dr. McCoy kept it neat and organized. It resembled the office of a college dean.
After looking at the time, he pulled his leather chair out from under his desk and took a seat. He opened his laptop and logged in. This would be a good time to complete some tasks for the school, such as updating his lesson plans. This didn't take long as he only had to add one assignment to one of his classes. Once he finished with that, he decided to open Solitaire and start a game. He put his work ahead of leisure normally, but he had nothing on his plate. Solitaire was his idea of a good time.
Hank's mind drifted, thinking about the recent attacks on mutants. It seemed like an endless journey to peace. [/div][/div]
