"Merci," Axelle smiled at the praise. Her smile quickly changed to a look of confusion, however, as Robyn brought up the danger room. "What should I expect in there?"
She had heard horror stories passed down from elder students. Only mere rumors of the traumatizing events that come to pass within the room. In her mind, she pictured medieval torture devices in a dimly lit room. A Judas Chair in one corner; branding irons; a blood stained pear of anguish; various blades and hammers: all of which used against the students. She had, after all, watched a student shaking with fear upon hearing that someone had been assigned Danger Room sessions with the Headmaster. Was he in charge of the tortures? Axelle was brought out of her dark thoughts with Robyn's comment, "I can imagine. Soon, I 'ope, that you will be able to. Falling is not good for an owl."
"It is," she smiled as Robyn agreed with her 'fun' statement. "And I may 'ave to take you up on that offer, mon amie. I thank you for that."
Axelle flat-out grinned as Robyn waved off her apology, eyes opening wide. This girl, it seemed, was at least aware of their cultures' differences, and was choosing to over look them. Axelle didn't even know where to begin expressing her gratitude, so she settled with her grin, and a quick nod. Her gaze moved down to her fingers, noticing the fact that the skin was wrinkled and prune-like, a sign that she was getting water-logged. They had, after all, been in the pool for sometime, Robyn longer than her for sure, and the sight of her fingers brought a question to the French girl's lips: "A quelle heure-er-do you 'ave the time, Robyn? I do not wear a watch."

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are
She wondered if Axelle was really new because she didn't know what the Danger Room was. Robyn got out to sit on the edge of the pool again. Her eyes widened. "So you've never been the Danger Room? Well, it's a huge empty room that's used for training. We are put in various situations using holograms and everything seems real. For example, if they wanted us to train to fight sentinels, we will fight sentinels in there," said Robyn, feeling that the only way to explain it was that way. "If you haven't been there, it's coming eventually. Ah mean, it's dangerous yes, but you just have to trust yourself."
Robyn then stood up and went over to her towel, drying off. She decided she had been in the pool long enough and while she enjoyed meeting Axelle, she remembered she had to get her laundry done. The redhead looked over at the French girl who responded to her comment about falling. "Yeah. Ah didn't start flyin' high distances until ah mastered flyin' in owl form. Ah think the most ah feel was five feet, but thats cause ah transformed back while in mid air. Ah didn't have that good of a grasp back then."
"You know where to find me. We stay on the same floor. I'm in room 6," she told Axelle. Robyn grabbed her phone out of her bag. The place was so big that normally people just didn't run into each other. She planned on getting Axelle's number in case she wanted to hang out.
Axelle asked her for the time. She checked her iPod. "It's five after three," Robyn said. She had been at the pool for about an hour.
"Do you have a phone number? Ah'd like to hang out," said Robyn as she pulled her phone out of her bag, ready to get the number from the blonde.

"Je comprends," Axelle nodded as Robyn explained the danger room to her. So it wasn't a torture chamber at all. In fact, it sounded like something from a video game, or at least Star Wars. She could handle holograms. Or Axelle hoped she could. While she wasn't the most experienced with her powers, she wasn't sure that holographic plants could even remotely be manipulated by her. They weren't real, and because of that lack she was sure she couldn't control them. Perhaps she'd be able to bring a few roses and such into the Danger Room with her, if she were ever called in.
"I know the feeling," Axelle hummed as Robyn mentioned not having control of her abilities. Sometimes her powers worked for her, but other times they didn't even appear. It was like some sort of game. Get the right hand, and the powers are at your beck and call, but if your hand is not so great....no dice. It wasn't any fun when she honestly wanted to practice and they wouldn't allow her too. But everyone is dealt a hand that they must play, Axelle supposed, and she was no different.
"Room 6? Ah, oui. I am in room 4, so we are neighbors," she smiled, laughing slightly. She was going to have to knock on the other girl's door sometime, perhaps they could go shopping. She hadn't even seen the centre commericals in America, although she had once been informed that they were called 'malls', and she wanted the chance too. Back in France, it was rare for her to turn down an outing with a friend, and she hoped that soon it would be the same here. She climbed out of the pool as Robyn answered her question about the time. "Merci Robyn."
Axelle made her way over to her stuff, and pulled a towel from her bag. As she dried off, she listened to Robyn's inquiry. "Ah, oui. Mes parents just put a international plan on mon portable-my phone." She dried off her hands and reached into her bag to pull out her phone. As she looked for it, she rattled off her number in French, a force of habit: "Zero, six, neuf, quatre, un, trois, neuf, quatre, trois, et trois." She paused and grinned sheepishly as she found her phone, and offered it to the other girl, "Perhaps you'd prefer it if we just exchanged our phones. French can be difficult to understand."
((OOC: So I guess one more post each to close this up? I have a feeling you want to move on in threads already.))

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are
Robyn herself had experienced the danger room since she had been there 2 years already. It wasn't easy, but it really taught physical conditioning, team work and strategy. She found the training in there very valuable. "Ah know when you start training in there, you'll find it isn't so bad," she said as she finished drying off. Robyn put her pareo back on over her suit and folded up her towel. She also unplugged her ipod and turned off the music. She placed both the ipod and the bluetooth speaker in her bag. Though she had nothing planned for the rest of the day, she'd go back into her bedroom and practice her music. She had an electronic piano in there to practice on.
"Room 4? That's really close. Feel free to knock on my door at any time. We could hang out there, in the recreation room or come back here," she said, handing her phone to Axelle so they could swap and exchange numbers because she got lost when Axelle gave her the number in French. Sometimes it was hard to track down people in the mansion because the place was so huge so having the ability to text someone you want to hang out with was useful there. "Ah'll text you once you get your number in mah phone so that you have mah number," she said.
"We'll have to meet up sometime and share our talents. Ah wish ah could dance," said Robyn. "Mah grandma used to take me to the ballet when Ah was younger." Robyn redid her pony tail and slid her flip flops back on.

"I 'ope so," Axelle smiled, looking down at her stuff. The Danger Room didn't seem so agonizing with what Robyn had said. It was, after all, probably only there to help them. Who knows, the training could prove to be immensely gratifying. After all, she was taught 'chaque chose vaut son prix'-all things are worth their price. And while she didn't believe her abilities were worth her brother's death, she did think that learning how to use them would be worth what ever the end game would turn out to be. That thought alone was surprisingly comforting to the teen, who hadn't thought of things like that since she had lost her brother.
"It is," she agreed, giggling quietly. "I extend the invitation to you as well, mon amie. I would enjoy 'anging out with you again."
She took Robyn's phone, passing hers to the girl in the process, and managed to enter in her information. Passing it back, she nodded enthusiastically at the idea Robyn put forth. "Oui, that would make the most sense. Merci beaucoup, Robyn."
Believing herself to be sufficiently dry, Axelle folded her towel and began replacing her clothing. Smoothing her dress, she listened to the Southern girl speak. "I could not agree more. Perhaps, if you would like, I could teach you 'ow too. It is not 'ard, exactly, more of it requires different muscle stimulation than many are used to. I am positive that you would be a tremendous dancer, Robyn." In her own way, the offer was a mere extension of her gratitude, a gesture of her thanks towards Robyn, who had cheered her on to something she had never even thought of attempting, as well as for being someone she could consider someday consider a friend. Running her fingers through her hair, she grinned as Robyn spoke of the ballet. "Ah, what did she take you to see?"

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are
Robyn smiled at the question about what ballet she saw. "Oh quite a few...Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Cinderella....they were all very beautiful," added the redhead. She smiled and flung her bag over her shoulder. "Ah have the grace of a blind racoon in rolla skates," she said, with a laugh. Her passion was music and that's what she was best at. "Every little girl dreams of being a ballerina, but some aren't cut out for it and I am one of those girls," she finished.
"Well, Ah'm going to wash the chlorine out of my hair and probably work on my music. Ah don't really have anything planned the rest of the day unless a last minute training is scheduled. Gotta love Those!" Exclaimed Robyn, with a soft laugh. "It was very nice meeting you Axelle. Ah do hope to hang out in the future." Robyn grabbed her phone and texted Axelle so Axelle would have her number.
With a wave, Robyn headed to the entrance/exit. The pool was fun and relaxing. She planned to go back very soon. Her room was a couple of floors up. She took the stairs. She preferred them to the elevator. Elevators had always freaked her out for some reason plus she loved the exercise. As she ascended the stairs, he couldn't help but think of her new friend.
She was really glad to have met Axelle. Robyn didn't have that many really close friends. She had one the institute. There was always room for another. Back at home, she didn't have any, but at the same time, she left home early.

"Oooh, those are some of the most lovely ballets," Axelle smiled, remembering the performances she had seen of them. They had been spectacular, stunning in every way, and each had parts that she longed to have played. Odette had been her dream, although she supposed that she was more of an Odile now.
"I am sure that that is not true," Axelle giggled, imagining the very image Robyn had described. "But not everyone can be a pianist; you are gifted with a skill many wish to have."
Grabbing her stuff, Axelle nodded as her new friend spoke. "A shower would be a good idea for moi," Axelle agreed, conscious of the fact that she reeked of chlorine. Although she never wore perfume, she didn't like smelling poorly, even though at times it couldn't be helped. "I should probably return to ma chambre. Truthfully, I 'ope they don't schedule one. I am not exactly prepared for training."
"The pleasure was mine, Robyn. I too wish to 'ang out again." She grinned at the other girl, only to jump as her phone vibrated in her hand. Glancing down, she noticed that Robyn had indeed texted her. By the time she had finished saving the contact and looked up, Robyn had already left. Shrugging slightly, Axelle made her way out of the pool area, making a beeline towards the elevator. Once inside she pressed the button to her floor, and leaned against the back wall. She much preferred the elevator to the stairs, although she never really knew why. <<It does not matter. But at least it is nice to have someone to talk to now. Well, a girl to talk to. At least I won't be so lonely anymore.>> Axelle slowly smiled at her thoughts, feeling that maybe her time at the school wouldn't be so bad.
