Rachel's attention reshifted as she looked around them again, making sure that there wasn't any undue attention brought upon the two of them. She concentrated still, creating a good solid 30 foot zone of inactivity where passerby wouldn't see them. She selectively left out the car drivers, as they were all moving too fast and she didn't want them to get when crossing any intersections because they were invisible to someone making a right turn. She adjusted the collar of her long red coat a moment before continuing, her mental rapport with Emma firmly established. "Like I said, I couldn't sleep.. and I sensed you. You've been off the radar pretty good the last couple of weeks, outside of what's been on the news. I didn't know what you were up to. With you, no one ever does but it's never anything boring, that's for sure." Rachel said as she walked alongside Frost, her lips not moving as she carried on their psionic conversation.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | "Sensed me, you say?" She repeated without moving her lips. This feeling was a familiar one; having telepathic conversations was something Emma had grown accustomed to back when she still had her powers. Since losing them, the blonde had lost the ability to hear other people's thoughts and in turn, found everything around her to be so much more deathly silent, almost like she was constantly standing in a graveyard. The link that she shared with Rachel tonight was only between the two of them, though, and any "background noise" she might have otherwise heard if she was still a telepath was blocked out completely. They continued walking and arrived at the harbor in the next few minutes. The whole place was empty with the exception of a couple of workers unloading a freighter some blocks down south so the place was rather peaceful. Emma took a few steps toward the ledge overlooking the seafront and stared out into the San Francisco bay. The Golden Gate bridge was lit up by a thousand bright lights that shone through the dark of the night and could be seen from distances as great as from outer space. It was Emma's second time coming here; the first time was about a week ago and she had stumbled upon this place by chance but found it to be a great place to get her mind off of things. "Well, I suppose while you are here, we should do something to tire you out so that you can get to bed and to class tomorrow morning." She said finally, this time out loud. "So, any ideas?" Emma asked, not really knowing why else the redhead might have come all this way just to seek out the White Queen if she had no intentions of capturing her and bringing her back. ♕ TAG: RACHEL GREY ♕ RPN: WEARING THIS |

~"Yeah, sensed you. It's not that hard. Once you've touched on another telepath, they leave a faint signature. For Omegas, its like... saving a cell phone number. When they are around, and not actively hiding, they show up psionically like bright lights on a map. And since you are not actively hiding anymore..."~[/b][/i]she said, trying not to put too fine a point on Emma's loss of power. Rachel walked toward the ledge, leaning closer to it as she inhaled the sea air. The Pacific was unfamiliar to her, and she didn't spend much time on the East Coast in general. Having the original 5 X-Men around the school made things... awkward. ~"I don't need to be tired out. I just... needed some peace and quiet. Telepathic peace and quiet. Maybe I just need some cabin in the mountains somewhere or something. Some... place where there isn't 30 or 40 minds all stressing about grades and teacher's opinions of their worth."~ she said as she stuffed her hands in her pockets again. Rachel hadn't intended on coming in to take Emma back, but she was prepared to do so in case things went sour. Rachel's eyes went back out across the bay, taking in the sight of the Golden Gate bridge... the same bridge that was nothing but rubble in her time.
